Las hijas de la memoria eran nueve musas...Notas al Episodio II

En la mitología griega las hijas de la memoria eran nueve musas, cuyos progenitores fueron Zeus y Mnemosina. Joyce también alude a la obra de William Blake: Una visión del juicio final :

"Fable or Allegory are a totally distinct&inferior kind of poetry. Vision or imagination is a representation of what eternally exists, really and unchangeably Fable or allegory is formed by the Daughters of Memory. Imagination is surrounded by the Daughters of  Inspiration".
